Terms and Conditions

We regularly review our fees to ensure we offer a high quality service which represents good value for money.

All fees, diets and drug charges are subject to VAT at the current rate. Payment is expected at the time of consultation. If your pet has had a surgical procedure then payment will be required on collection of your pet.

Methods of payment

Invoices are due for settlement at the end of the consultation, the discharge of your pet or upon collection of drugs/diets. We accept cash, cheque with a valid guarantee card and debit/credit cards. We do not keep accounts.

Estimates of payment costs

We will happily provide a written estimate as to the probable costs of a course of treatment. Please bear in mind that any written estimate given can only be approximate as a pet's illness will not always follow a predictable course. We will always try to keep you informed on costs as they arise and discuss treatment options thoroughly. You can ask to discuss the costs at any stage of your pet's treatment or procedure.

We do recommend pet insurance as part of the responsibility of owning and caring for your pet. If your pet is ill or injured it is reassuring to know that cost will not have to be a deciding factor in their treatment. Likewise if they have a chronic condition such as arthritis or diabetes the costs over time can be significant. We have insurance information packs available from reception if you are unsure or you can find useful information at

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to settle your account with us then reclaim the fees from your insurance company. We will complete all forms that your insurance company require so that your claim can be settled as quickly as possible. On large accounts we can claim directly from the insurance company providing they accept pre -authorisation claims. You will be required to pay your excess fee and for any treatment or procedure that is not covered by your insurance company at the time of discharge.
